Working With James
James believes in the power of relationship, healthy community, and artistic expression to heal inner conflict, wounding, and trauma. He is a Level 1 Brainspotting practitioner as well as a certified Prepare/Enrich premarital counseling facilitator. James works to create a safe and accepting environment conducive to the healing process, recognizing that the path to healing is a journey rather than a destination.
Prior to counseling, James was a full-time touring artist and studio singer. He toured extensively throughout the U.S. and has firsthand experience with the music and entertainment industry. Because of this background, James is passionate about working with members of the creative community to assist with the unique challenges presented by a career in the entertainment industry. Such challenges can be touring life, artistic roadblocks, identity issues, body image concerns, self-love/esteem, addiction issues, coping skills, relationship dysfunction, etc.
