Rituals for Healing – In Times of Loss, Change & Transition

Are you navigating through loss, celebrating new beginnings or facing change in your life?

This six week therapy group invites you to explore the power of rituals while fostering healing and connection. Together we will create a safe and supportive environment where you can share your experiences, reflect on your emotions and embrace the transitions that life brings.

What to Expect

Over the six weeks, you will engage in meaningful discussions, creative activities and reflective practices designed to help you process grief, celebrate milestones and navigate change. Each session will focus on different themes related to loss, celebration and transformation, drawing inspiration from various rituals and practices that honor our experiences.

Why Rituals?

We perform rituals everyday. From the way we make our coffee in the mornings to the way we get ready for bed in the evenings. We use them to mark important events and celebrate holidays―yet our modern approach to rituals only scratches the surface of its true potential.

Ritual can serve as a way to ground yourself, invite in the new, let go of what needs to be shed, and tap into your own inner wisdom and strength. Ritual has the power to move you through difficult experiences with presence and allow you to process in real time what is happening. It gives significance to our experiences and our healing.

When Rituals Can Support Our Healing

Rituals give us a sense of stability in the face of uncertainty by reminding us that there’s always something we can do, say or make that conjures awe, contentment, and gratitude. They give us a way to acknowledge through our actions that, as life changes, we too must change. Here’s a short list of when rituals can support healing and growth:

  • Birth of a Child/Loss of a Child
  • Aging Childless
  • Moving to a New Place or a New Home
  • Divorce
  • Empty Nesting
  • Leaving a Job or Retirement
  • Losing a Loved One/Death Anniversary
  • Losing a Pet or Friendship
  • Chronic Illness & Health Crises
  • Coming Out
  • Transitions of the Seasons
  • Endings and Beginnings
